Hereford Motocross Club
Hereford Motocross Club caters for Motocross riders and
enthusiasts in the Hereford area. Established in 1978, the club caters
for amateur riders aged 10 years and upwards and is affiliated to the
AMCA (Amateur Motor Cycle Association). Our rider membership is upto 60, with
many social members too. We normally stage 4 race meetings per year,
mostly at the Walterstone track. In the past, we have hosted meetings at the
historic circuit of Hope-Under-Dinmore as well as Pontrilas, (we even have a 'back-up'
track at Bodenham!). All tracks are near Hereford. As well as race
meetings our club enjoys regular social events too, our last being an
evening of 10 pin bowling.
Well, our club is over 30 years old now and back in 1978
the club had 36 rider members:

Number of riders on the start line – Rules said 3
riders to each 10 foot of the start straight width. But if the gate was
full there was a second line!
Minimum track width didn’t apply at obstructions
i.e. 10 foot wide field gates!
